We live in a world that pressures us to equate our work with our worth, and I have felt the burden and impact of this expectation. As a Black woman leader—often the only representative of my perspective in professional spaces—I spent years molding my profession around the constant pressure to perform and produce. Work dictated my identity, companies I was employed by dictated my path, and managers promising the next promotion or raise dictated my desires.
As a seasoned leadership and development expert, the intense burnout I faced at the peak of my career was a big turning point. This experience pushed me to leave corporate life and dedicate myself to help other leaders facing similar pressures. I know I'm not alone in experiencing this as a leader. Losing our identity to performance, productivity, and burnout doesn't just dim our lights—it severely limits our effectiveness and profoundly impacts the culture and morale of our teams.
Who we work with
Organizations: We work with organizations to transform the way they define, identify and develop leaders, and build inclusive work spaces focused on harm reduction, high team morale, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Individuals: We work with individuals to do the internal work of establishing their identity in their worth and dignity rather than external measures of performance and productivity. I'm passionate about supporting individuals as they prioritize their well-being to live and lead from a place of power and pursue the goals they have for their lives.
What we do
Through personalized coaching, and leadership development, we guide leaders through the internal work of identifying who they are, and equip them to be authentic, empathetic, and inclusive leaders. By engaging in this work, they not only lead and inspire those around them more effectively, but they’ll also develop a leadership style that prioritizes their well-being and that of their team.
